Predicting test bench time to cut CO₂ emissions.
Mercedes-Benz applies for nearly 2,000 patents per year and offers a vast catalog of vehicle options. Daimler challenged Kagglers to tackle the curse of dimensionality and reduce the time each unique car configuration spends on the test bench. Winning algorithms predict testing duration accurately enough to speed up validation, lowering CO₂ emissions without compromising Daimler's safety and quality standards.
